Yes Stevan, it is the same Raja. Melissa of OSI and UNESCO had recognised
his worth and invited him to some conferences and workshops. I always
thought he was very good in his work. In fact, I had to face some harsh
comments from other Indian colleagues when I mentioned in a discussion list
that NCSI was a good training centre for young Indian librarians. He is no
more. Why should such an accomplished expert die when he has so much more to
give to the rest of us, I do not understand. Nature's ways are inscrutable.

This is a very very shocking news to all of us. A great loss is
occurred to us , we all cannot forget his contribution in this field.

This is the biggest loss not only to library profession but the digital
library movement in the country.

Dr. Rajashekar had taken Indian libraries technology movement to the peak
and was one of the few professionals known world wide for his immense
contribution to the profession.

I have never met him personally but known him through the work he has
done.

Hello friends

It is shocking news for the whole library community to loose such a
pioneer in the field whose contributions are great!
We are very sad about the untimely and sad demise of Dr.Rajashekar.

More over it is so fresh and green in our memories as he was invited as
a guest speaker 2 yrs ago to address us.

We, all the team members express our deep condolences to the bereaved
family .

May God strenghthen the family to bear this loss and comfort them at

Rajashekar and other members of his family. Raja was one of the best
information professionals of our country and had earned a reputation around
the world. He played an important role in training young professionals in
modern information dissemination tchniques and in promoting the open access
culture in India. His passing away is a great loss to the profession. RIP.

Yes Stevan, it is the same Raja. Melissa of OSI and UNESCO had recognised
his worth and invited him to some conferences and workshops. I always
thought he was very good in his work. In fact, I had to face some harsh
comments from other Indian colleagues when I mentioned in a discussion list
that NCSI was a good training centre for young Indian librarians. He is no
more. Why should such an accomplished expert die when he has so much more to
give to the rest of us, I do not understand. Nature's ways are inscrutable.

This is a very very shocking news to all of us. A great loss is
occurred to us , we all cannot forget his contribution in this field.
It is still fresh and green in our memory while he addressed us in
Infosys annual library seminar last year in the month of June . We could
learn a lot from him in our profession.

This is the biggest loss not only to library profession but the digital
library movement in the country.
Dr. Rajashekar had taken Indian libraries technology movement to the peak
and was one of the few professionals known world wide for his immense
contribution to the profession.
I have never met him personally but known him through the work he has
done.
May his sould rest in peace and almighty gives all strength to his family
to bear this loss.

Hello friends
It is shocking news for the whole library community to loose such a
pioneer in the field whose contributions are great!
We are very sad about the untimely and sad demise of Dr.Rajashekar.
More over it is so fresh and green in our memories as he was invited as
a guest speaker 2 yrs ago to address us.
We, all the team members express our deep condolences to the bereaved
family .
May God strenghthen the family to bear this loss and comfort them at
this moment of grief.
