This workshop is specially designed for the librarians/ Information specialists, computer specialists.
About the workshop :
Information availability in digital form has been increasing quite rapidly in the last few years. In practice we have to deal with many types of digital documents such as text-based word-processed documents, e-mail messages, spreadsheets, presentations, scanned image documents, website (hypertext) documents, multimedia documents, digital audio and video, and dynamically interlinked documents. Increasing availability of various types documents currently tend to blur the boundaries between types of stored information, and increase the problems of capturing and retaining all elements of files. Digital information overload is the recent phenomena and people have been working to evolve suitable mechanism to address this issue.
