About the Lecture Series....

We instituted this Annual Lecture Series on Informatics on the occasion
of the 10th Anniversary of our Company.  Dr N Seshagiri, the then
Additional Secretary & Director General, NIC, with his Lecture on
"Database Production and Distribution Technologies for 90s", inaugurated
the Lecture Series.  Subsequent Annual Lectures were delivered by
eminent speakers like   Shri N Vittal, former Vigilance Commissioner,
Govt of India, Shri T H Chowdary, Information Technology Advisor to Govt
of Andhra Pradesh, Padmashri Prof. N Balakrishnan, Chairman, Information
Sciences Division, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, Padmashri, Dr
R A Mashelkar, Director General, CSIR, Dr Alan Gilchrist, Editor of
Journal of Information Science, UK, Prof. R Natarajan, Chairman, AICTE,
Dr Gio Wiederhold, Professor of Computer Science, Stanford University,
