I am able to download WINISIS from the appended URL

Thank you for requesting a copy of CDS/ISIS for Windows. In order to obtain
the software, you may either contact your national distributor listed on:
http://www.unesco.org/isis/distributors.html
or directly download the installation file from:
http://www.unesco.org/isis/files/winisislicense.html
after having read and accepted the terms of the distribution licence using
the appropriate "accept" button on the bottom of the page. You will then be
able to download the full installation of the latest version of CDS/ISIS for
Windows (about 2.4 Mbytes). After the installation, please check carefully
the README.DOC file (section troubleshooting).
We warmly recommend you to subscribe to the CDS/ISIS International mailing
list from our website.

QUICK TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

**** "Cannot Run" or "Missing DLLs" messages ****
Depending from your Windows installation and/or version, you may get an
error message reporting the file CTL3D.DLL (or CTL3DV2.DLL) as missing or a
message saying that a "device attached to the system is not working
properly".
In this case you do have use a DLL file located in \winisis\ctl3dv2
To make Winisis up and running you should copy CTL3D.DLL in the
following directory:
\windows\system
Windows NT or 2000 users should copy that file in the corresponding system
directory (C:\WINNT)
**** NOTES FOR Windows NT, Windows 2000, WinXP USERS ****
Please note that Winisis needs a special property to be set in these
environments. Proceed as follows:
1) Drag the Winisis icon onto the desktop to create a shortcut.
2) Click the right mouse button on the desktop Winisis icon.
3) Select the tab "Shortcut" and set "Run in separate memory space". It is
the option under the "Target" box.
4) Click ok and always use the shortcut for running Winisis.
This will make Winisis stable under Windows NT and Windows 2000, WinXP.
*** WINISIS HAS BLOCKED (hang up) ****
In case Winisis has blocked, please call the TaskManager (using the
CTRL-ALT-DEL keys combination) and then stop the process called NTVDM.EXE.
Then you may restart Winisis.

**** Messages "Impossible d'exécuter" ou "DLL manquante" ****
A l'exécution du programme un ou plusieurs messages d'erreur peuvent
apparaître, indiquant, par exemple, que le fichier CTL3D.DLL (librairie de
liaison dynamique) est introuvable ou qu'une composante du système ne
fonctionne pas correctement. Ceci est souvent du à votre installation ou
version de Windows.
Dans ces cas, vous devez utiliser le fichier DLL situé dans le répertoire:
\winisis\ctl3dv2
Pour résoudre le problème vous devez copier/remplacer ce fichier dans le
répertorie suivant:
\winisis\system
Les utilisateur des systèmes Windows NT ou 2000 devraient copier ce fichier
dans leur répertoire système, parfois nommé c:\WINNT en lieu de c:\windows
**** NOTES POUR LES USAGERS DE WinNT, Win2000 ET WinXP ****
Veuillez noter que Winisis nécessite l'activation d'une option particulière
pour bien fonctionner sous ces systèmes. Procédez comme suit:
1) Déplacez l'icône de Winisis sur le bureau de Windows afin de créer un
raccourci.
2) Sur le bureau de Windows, cliquez le raccourci Winisis utilisant le
bouton droit de la souris
3) Sélectionnez l'onglet "Raccourci" et activez l'option "Exécuter dans des
zones mémoires différentes".
4) Confirmez avec OK et souvenez-vous de toujours utiliser ce raccourci pour
démarrer Winisis.
Cette opération rendra Winisis stable sous Windows NT, 2000 et WinXP.
*** WINISIS EST BLOQUE (planté) ****
Si Winisis est bloqué, exécutez le "Gestionnaire des tâches" utilisant la
combinaison de touches "CRTL-ALT-SUPP" sur votre clavier. Puis, arrêtez le
processus nommé "NTVDM.EXE". Vous pourrez alors re-démarrer Winisis sans
problèmes.
