A library for the spiritual-minded

Chennai, Aug 26: 

        The Central Chinmaya Mission Trust has opened a library at Chinmaya Heritage Centre here with books on religion, vedanta and sacred scriptures of country for the benefit of the spiritual-minded. 

        The library was inaugurated by Prof S P Thyagarajan, Vice Chancellor, University of Madras, in the presence of Swami Mitrananda, Acharya, Chinmaya Mission, Chennai. 

        Books on philosophy, education, yoga, medidation, biography and auto-biography of great saints, philosophers and statesmen, self-discovery and development and other similar subjects are available there. 

        The library has already received books from leading publishing houses including Sri Ramakrishna Math, Anandashram, Kanhangad (Kerala), Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Sri Gaudiya Math, Krishnamurti Foundation India, Sri Ramanashramam, Tiruvannamalai, Sadhu Vaswani Mission, Pune, Sri Satya Sai Publications Trust, Chennai, the Theosophical Publishing House and Yogoda Satsanga Society of India, Rachi.
