Dear friend,

You need to get 25 double sided racks of the standard size if
you want to make provision for 10,000 books. Appro. 200 books on one side
of the shelf. Regarding Catalogue cabinet you must insist that a PC given
to the library to make entry of records. In these days of library
automation and networking no new library should go for old method of
catalogue cards and filing. UGC(INFLIBNET) wants to network all university
and college libraries and may be want to find out how forward looking you
are. About your approach to library management. However, you can also
calculate the no. of cards that can be held in a tray, and give an second
answer in continuation to the online catalogue.

All the best,

Gayathri Sen
