*Sambuddha Deb

Sambuddha Deb is Chief Global Delivery Officer of Wipro, responsible for
executing confidential delivery contracts entered between Wipro and its
customers. He is responsible for delivering world class products to all of
Wipro's customers through all its Global delivery centre's in a cost
efficient manner.

He has been the Keynote speaker in International forums like IQPC, Gartner,
Fabtech, World Data Mining Conference 2007 and International Association
Product Developers symposium 2006. He was invited as a speaker for JPMC's
Lab Morgan Speaker series. He has been a guest speaker at Marshall School of
Management, USC, Stern Business School, NYU, Harvard Business School and
Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Prior to the current assignment, he was the Chief Quality Officer of Wipro.
He was responsible for leading Wipro's Quality, Productivity, Six Sigma and
Knowledge Management initiatives. He had been instrumental in leading Wipro
through the PCMM Level 5 certification and the CMMi Level 5 certification.
Deb successfully led the integration of Six Sigma into software development
processes at Wipro and also broad-basing Six Sigma application to different
functional processes across Wipro Technologies. He launched Lean in Software
for Wipro over the last three years. During his tenure as the CQO, Wipro
became the first non-US company to receive IEEE award for software process
improvements. Wipro has also been the ASIAN MAKE finalist for Best Knowledge
Management for the last 4 years.

Prior to this, he was the Chief Executive for Wipro's Manufacturing & Health
Care Solutions worldwide. He has an Engineering Degree and a Post Graduation
in Management. He has been in the Industry for the last 25 years. He has
experience in software delivery, service, system Integration and sales.

*Expert Talk on "Applying collective intelligence to Knowledge Management"

*Knowledge is responsible for keeping the organization intelligent and
provides leadership position to the organization; hence Knowledge Management
(KM) is critical for today's global organization.

As a result of the success of the social networking sites, lot of interest
has been generated around the phenomenon of Collective Intelligence (CI).
The fact that a complex system tends to organize itself and appears to be
intelligent has always been of interest to scientific community. Theoretical
understanding of CI is yet to fully emerge but, we do have some heuristic
understanding on what influences the behavior of a complex system that makes
it more intelligent.

In his talk Udayan proposes that the principles of CI can be applied for KM
in an organization. He would also share his and his colleagues' experience
of applying these principles in his organization which is a software
services organization and provides software solutions to its global
customers.

*Profile of Mr. Udayan Banerjee
*
Udayan Banerjee is the CTO of NIIT Technologies Ltd and is responsible for
exploring emerging technologies, assessing the impact and giving shape to
the technology roadmap for the organization. He is an engineering graduate
from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and has been working in Indian IT
industry for last 31 years in different capacities. During this period, he
has been associated with many global enterprises like AstraZeneca, British
Airways, Crédit Lyonnais, Hitachi, Indian Army and Misys.

Udayan also heads the Technology Innovation Centre (TIC) located at
Bangalore, India. This centre is instrumental in creating several
productivity tools, application frameworks and solution accelerators. Some
of these efforts in the area of Model-Driven Development and Rich Internet
Application have been made public in form open source projects.

Udayan has several publications in international conferences to his credit.
The publications cover diverse range of topics like Service Oriented
Architecture, Aspect Oriented Programming, Rich Internet Application,
Knowledge Management, Code Comprehension & Transformation, Application of
Agile Methodologies, Mobile Computing and Model Driven Software Engineering.
